Emily (Billie Piper), a pretty working girl, Helen (Catherine Tate), a fanciful stay-at-home mum, and Vera (Alex Kingston), a sarcastic but witty editor and mother of one, have nothing in common aside from their husbands. This year, Andrew (Emily’s husband) is turning thirty and during the party his two brothers decide to take him on a trip. The three sisters-in-law find themselves stuck with Lorna Barret (Imelda Staunton) their mother-in-law. Everyone might think she is a charming old woman but with her sons’ wives she’s not quite so lovely…
